ALTHOUGH it was cold wet and decidely miserable, spirits were high last Friday as hundreds gathered to see terrible twosome Jedward at the Bridge Centre.

Shortly before midday a Garda escort signalled the arrival of the twins, who were greeted by screams of delight from their waiting fans. The boys were in town to sign copies of their latest album ‘Victory’.

Those lucky enough to get wrist bands to get into Heartbeat City had the added bonus of getting their picture taken with their idols who were happy to pose with fans.

For those without wrist bands, they could look longingly at the brothers through the window of the shop from the arcade.

The desire to see John and Edward saw some dedicated fans queuing from as early as 6am that morning.

For over two hours Jedward happily signed copies of their new album before bidding adieu to Tullamore.

Escorted once again by the Gardai and to the sound of screaming girls they made their way out of town.

However, there is further good news for Tullamore fans as it’s been officially confirmed that the Grimes twins are set to appear on the UK’s Celebrity Big Brother. It had been rumoured for months that the pair had been signed up to appear on the reality show. Now with the confirmation of that appearance comes the rumour that each of the nineteen year olds are set to receive a fee of £500,000 each for their time on tv.
