Gardaí seize car in Midlands after driver fails to stop for pedestrians at crossing
Gardaí in Laois have seized a car after uncovering a number of offences during a routine traffic stop.
A Laois Roads Policing Unit on patrol in Portlaoise this week observed a vehicle failing to stop for pedestrians at a pedestrian crossing and proceeded to stop the driver.
"They were stopped and the driver was discovered to be a Learner Permit holder who was driving unaccompanied and without L-Plates displayed," gardaí said in a statement.
"The vehicle was seized and a fixed charge notice issued to the driver," they added.
