Daingean serves up delectable festival feast

DAINGEAN revellers enjoyed sumptuous roast pig on the spit on Bank Holiday Monday evening during the closing ceremony of their vibrant Homecoming Festival which this year celebrated twenty-four years in existence.

Festival Chairperson Deirdre Gallagher was thrilled with the resounding success of the six-day event which featured a diverse programme of activities geared towards all ages.

Clancy Gaye (representing Seery’s Bar) was crowned the Festival Queen on Saturday evening at a well attended gala fashion show in the Town Hall where the excellent comperes were Martina McGlynn and Anne Corcoran.
