Moneygall.com proves a hit

Moneygall.com, which was launched in the run up to US President’s visit to try and maximize the exposure of the Obama visit to Moneygall, proved a big success this week.

The website was setup up by Dotser Ltd, an Offaly based web development company, to have an online presence to promote Moneygall and Offaly and the site contains information on Barack Obama’s roots and links to visitor information in Offaly and the Midlands.

The informative website has come into its own throughout the week, as it boasts a near top ranking on Google as the interest in the US Presidents visit peaked.

The site received numerous mentions in the national and international media as the appetite for the Obama visit and Obama Tshirts featuring ‘Is Feidir Linn’ reached fever pitch.

“The interest in the Monegall website was phenomenal throughout the day as we monitored the traffic to ensure the server could cope with the number of visitors,” said Loughnan Hooper of Dotser. “I thought the traffic would be high but didn’t expect the site to receive over 470,000 page views on Monday alone. The entire event was a huge success for the county, region and country,” he said.
