However that is exactly what five very daring players from Daingean Town FC did recently for a limited edition calendar that is selling very well.

Daniel Daly, Darren McDonagh, James Sheeran, John Slattery and Vytas Nasevicius along with Jimmy the Snowman lined up in the sub zero conditions that brass monkey's dared not venture out in for the shoot at the club's grounds near Ballinagar. The pictures were taken by Jeff Harvey of Harvey Rogers Photography.

Initially it was planned that more than five would take part but the numbers dwindled as the day approached and the temperatures plummeted and even the quintet who did take the plunge needed time to pluck up their courage.

However take the plunge they did and the calendar proved a very popular Christmas gift around the town. There are still a limited number available from the shops and pubs in the town and directly from the club.

This is just the latest in a line of fundraisers and initiatives run by the club which is one of the most progressive and forward thinking in the Combined Counties Football League.
