ROSCREA Rugby Club is thrilled to announce the launch of the new Roscrea Jedi mixed ability rugby team, a groundbreaking initiative that emphasises inclusivity and teamwork. The team, proudly sponsored by The Lunch Bag, aims to provide individuals of all abilities with an opportunity to participate in the exhilarating sport of rugby.

The Roscrea Jedi team represents an exciting new chapter in the history of Roscrea Rugby Club, as it further strengthens the club's commitment to fostering a welcoming and supportive environment for everyone. By establishing this team, Roscrea Rugby Club is breaking down barriers and opening doors to individuals who may have previously felt excluded from participating in organised rugby.

The Jedi team will create a platform where players of various abilities can come together, learn from one another, and showcase their skills on the rugby field. The emphasis is not solely on competition but also on camaraderie, personal growth, and mutual respect. The Roscrea Jedi team will be a shining example of how rugby can bring people together and build lifelong friendships.

The Lunch Bag is a healthy school lunch delivery service, designed to empower children to make educated, healthy food choices, shedding the negative label of ‘Fussy Eaters’. Both children and guardians can only make lunch from what they have available to them – and very often this means the same lunch every day; with expensive shopping top-ups during the week.

Roscrea Rugby Club is inviting players of all abilities to join the Roscrea Jedi team, regardless of their previous rugby experience. The club believes that everyone should have the opportunity to experience the joy, camaraderie, and personal growth that rugby can offer.

"This is a significant moment for Roscrea Rugby Club," said Darren Bayliss, Youths Co-ordinator Roscrea Rugby Club. "We are immensely proud to launch the Roscrea Jedi mixed ability rugby team, and we are grateful to The Lunch Bag for their invaluable support. This team will be a beacon of inclusion and a testament to the power of sport in bringing people together. We encourage individuals of all abilities to join us in this exciting journey."

Roscrea Rugby Club is dedicated to providing a safe and supportive environment for all players, adhering to the highest standards of inclusivity and sportsmanship. The club's coaching staff and volunteers will ensure that each player receives the necessary support to develop their skills, enjoy the game, and contribute to the team's success.
