The weather looks set to continue improve over the weekend with Met Eireann forecasting that weather will become drier and milder as high pressure is set to dominate the weather in Ireland
Temperatures are set to rise to as high as 18 degrees on Sunday with sunny spells across the country.
According to the latest Met Eireann weather forecast for Ireland, Friday will start mostly dry with good sunny spells but scattered showers will develop through the morning and afternoon, heaviest and most frequent over the northern half of the country with a chance of hail and a small chance of isolated thunderstorms in the northeast. Highest temperatures of 9 to 12 degrees with light to moderate northwesterly breezes.
Early tonight, isolated showers will die away, becoming dry with long clear spells for much of the night. Cloud will build in from the southwest over parts of Munster by morning. Chilly, with lowest temperatures of -1 to +3 degrees, locally lower, in light westerly or variable breezes with mist and fog patches developing.
According to the latest Met Eireann weather forecast, Saturday will start dry with sunny spells but cloud in the southwest will gradually extend across the country with outbreaks of rain and drizzle following. Driest in the east and southeast. Highest temperatures of 9 to 12 degrees with moderate southerly winds developing, fresher at times in the west and northwest.

Largely cloudy with patches of light rain and drizzle on Saturday night. Southerly winds will fall light allowing mist and fog patches to develop. Lowest temperatures of 6 to 10 degrees.
Sunday will start dull with patchy outbreaks of light rain and drizzle along with lingering patches of mist and fog. Becoming drier with some sunny spells developing as the day goes on. Mild with highest temperatures of 14 to 17 degrees generally, possibly reaching 18 degrees, with light to moderate southerly breezes.
Mostly dry on Sunday night with a mix of cloud and clear spells, and just some spots of light rain and drizzle. Staying mild overnight with temperatures not falling below 8 to 10 degrees in light to moderate southerly winds, fresher in the west. Some mist and fog patches will also develop.
