A touring exhibition featuring artists Monica de Bath, Lisa Fingleton and Gareth Kennedy exploring how, in different ways, they address our relationship with a constantly changing environment. SONIC POLLINATORS, Birr Theatre & Arts Centre: 8.30pm – 9.30pm

Composer Karen Power with the Quiet Music Ensemble who use their unique skills as improvisers, listeners and interpreters, to create a musical dialogue using recordings of bees, plants and their surrounding habitats in Offaly. For a unique perspective of Boora, join artist Michael Bulfin on a walk through its nature and landscape, focusing on his artwork ‘Sky Train’ and his creative response to Boora’s natural and industrial heritage. DAVID RONEY AT HOUGHS, J.J. Hough, Main St, Banagher: 8pm ‘til late

A fascinating look into the world of artist David Rooney talking about his illustration work spanning three decades; the screening of a series of videos combining original music/songs and artwork; a performance of songs from this debut album ‘Bound Together’ and artwork samples from ‘1916 – Portraits and Lives’, The Royal Irish Academy.

SOIL – FOOD – SOUL, The Growery , nr 1 Oxmantown Mall, Birr: 4pm – 6.30pm

Music, Performance & Tai Chai! A unique event in Birr’s ‘social garden’ - The Growery - includes Paul Seery performing Irish tunes and Indian classical music on his homemade sarods and a mesmerising introduction to Tai Chi and Daoist practice with Yónguán Lóng Táorén, a Tao Monk from Qixing Táijí Tao Temple and Monastery.
