Tullamore woman gunning for Miss Bikini Ireland title
A second Offaly woman is in the running to win the 2018 Miss Bikini Ireland title.
22-year-old Leanne Farrelly from Tullamore is hoping to go one better than 2014 when she entered the same competition as an 18-year-old.
She is again one of the finalists this year and says, "Unfortunately I didn’t win in 2014 but decided to come back this year."
"Besides the winning, I also came back for the fun and experience. I met so many people through Miss Bikini and made good friendships and am doing so again this year," she added.
"It’s so much fun, and you would think because it’s loads of girls competing for the winning place that we would all not get along but it’s the total opposite; we all get along and I met lovely girls already," Leanne told us.
"Being one of the finalists is big, because most girls, including myself, would have anxiety and insecurities and feel like we wouldn’t have gotten this far, so it is an achievement for me and the goal is to win and represent Ireland in the world final and hopefully it will happen," she continued.
The competition gives women from the ages of 18-35 a chance to take part and become a finalist, a search that began on social media.
The opportunities for the winner are huge with lucrative sponsorship deals to work in the areas of fitness, as well as take part in various magazine shoots.
The overall Miss Bikini winner also receives a cash prize and an all expenses paid trip to the USA for the swimsuit USA competition.
The public are eligible to vote in the early stages of the competition so if you want to vote for Leanne, you can do so as follows:
