Japanese woman turns to Offaly to find penpal

A Japanese woman has written to the Offaly Express to literally find herself a 'Faithful' penpal, and we think she has come to the right place.

The Offaly Express received the letter, complete with examples of Origami, this week, in which Mikki Nakamura professes her love for Ireland and outlines her search for an Irish penpal.

Mikki is not interested in an email back and forth, but instead hopes to connect with an Offaly Express reader through the dying art of letter writing.

Mikki hails from Nagoya in the centre of Japan and has a husband and young son. Her hobbies include correspondence, travelling, movies and drama.

She is looking for a female penpal and says it is her dream to exchange letters with somebody in Ireland.

If any of our readers have similar interests, want to learn more about the Japanese culture, or have a special interest in letter writing, email us using the details below and we can arrange contact with Mikki.
