Shane Lowry among guests as new nightclub opens after €1m investment
Offaly golfer Shane Lowry, Love/Hate actor Laurence Kinlan and Galway hurler Joe Canning were among the guests as a new Limerick nightclub opened its doors after a €1m investment.
Amber, the new nightclub at House Limerick, has opened with the creation of 30 new jobs, adding to the 30 staff already working at the venue above, which is located on Howley’s Quay and opened a year ago.
The nightclub has seen an investment of close to €1m and the first guests attended last Thursday night to see the transformation of the former Sin Bin venue, which has has also resulted in a significant boost to the local construction industry.
Fresh from his 2nd place finishes at the DP World Tour event and the QBE Shootout, Shane Lowry was taking some well deserved time off to soak up the atmosphere in the new establishment.
Limerick native Laura Horan, general manager of House, said: “A lot of research has gone into developing Amber. We have looked at what is happening globally and have visited some of the hottest venues on the international night club scene.
“We’ve sourced the best ideas from rooftop bars in New York, edgy clubs in Berlin and the coolest spots in London and brought the best of what we found to Limerick. We are bringing something new and fresh to Limerick.
“We cannot wait for the people of Limerick and further afield, to experience what Amber is all about,” she added, noting that fellow Limerick native JJ Hartigan of 2FM, will be the venue’s resident DJ.
