An Edenderry florist is aiming to spread a little happiness in Edenderry this coming Monday, November 27, as he partakes in the 'Lonely Bouquet' worldwide phenomenon.

The Lonely Bouquet involves florists and individuals leaving free flowers dotted around certain location just waiting for them to be picked up and brighten someone's day.

Edenderry florist Michael Costello-Lynch, the owner of Rose Petals in the town, has decided to 'spread a few smiles' using the initiative which has been seen in the likes of America, Britain and Australia.

"We will be leaving stunning lonely bouquets across Edenderry, in the hopes that they will spread some cheer to those who find them," Michael told us.

"If you find one of the lonely bouquets, it’s yours free of charge! All we ask you to do is post a picture to Rose Petals Facebook page using the hashtag #irishlonelybouquet," he added.

"A smile is priceless and if we can help make someone’s day, our job here at Rose Petals is done," Michael concluded.

So, locals in Edenderry are being told to keep their eyes peeled for the lonely bouquets on Monday, and you can also receive a few hints at possible locations through the 'Rose Petals Ltd' Facebook page.
