Tullamore school is top school in Offaly on National Feeder List

Tullamore's Sacred Heart School is ranked as the number one Feeder School in Offaly for 2022.

Principal Pauline McKenna noted that it had been a particularly difficult two years for the class of 2022, especially with a lockdown period and Covid interruptions.

The Feeder List is used each year to measure the number of students who attend Third Level and management at the school also pointed out that access to Third Level is not the primary goal of any school, but it is an indication of how well a school can manage that demand when that is the demand of the student body.

“So, in our case, we are really proud that we are able to manage the needs of our students and to guide them to the next stage of their career path,” said Deputy Principal, Ms Orla Healy.

Perhaps the most interesting aspect of this list is that the Sacred Heart School is easily competing with some of the top fee-paying schools in Ireland while also achieving this ranking for almost 19 years now.
