Snow in parts of Offaly this morning as Weather Warnings remains in place for Storm Eunice

There is snow in parts of Offaly this morning as Weather Warnings remains in place for Storm Eunice.

The Storm hit Ireland in the early hours of the morning bringing strong winds and wintry conditions across the country. 

Parts of Offaly were hit with wintry showers and falls of snow with much of the Slieve Bloom Mountains under a covering of snow this morning.

The Status Orange Wind Warning that covers Offaly, Clare, Galway, Wexford, Cork, Kerry, Waterford, Tipperary, Kilkenny, Carlow, Wicklow, Laois, Offaly and Dublin remains in place until 11am. 

As Status Yellow Wind and Rain Warning for all of Ireland remains in place until 6pm today

Members of the public are urged to be vigilant during the period of the warning and watch out for fallen trees or other debris.
