TULLAMORE-based online ticketing company Future Ticketing has reported record season ticket sales across their partner clubs for the SSE Airtricity League of Ireland in advance of its kick-off this Friday evening.
Over 15,000 season tickets have already been processed through the Future Ticketing digital platform for SSE Airtricity League of Ireland Premier clubs, the company said.
According to Future Ticketing, these clubs’ vision and ambition have led to a modernisation of their ticketing services and an enhanced fan experience.
Future Ticketing are predicting up to 600,000 fans will attend SSE Airtricity Premier League games this season with fans and clubs benefiting greatly from the dedicated software innovation provided by the Tullamore company.
The company is expecting opening game sellouts this weekend as fans show their loyalty to support their teams and purchase the tickets online.
The Covid-19 pandemic has seen increased online purchases across all sectors and this is also the trend with Future Ticketing partner clubs who are now processing strong online ticket sales.
All host clubs on Friday are reporting strong demand for tickets.
David O’Connor, CEO of Shelbourne FC said: “Our season ticket sales have been really strong and online ticket sales of our opening derby match against St. Pats have been red hot, we are expecting a sell-out so I would urge fans to get online and purchase tickets now to avoid disappointment.”
Sligo Rovers host Bohemians and Sligo CEO Colin Feehily said: “There is huge excitement around the club for the season ahead and this has been reflected in ticket sales for the Bohemians match. Sligo Rovers are delighted to work with the Future Ticketing digital platform to allow our loyal fans to purchase their tickets with ease and confidence online, reflecting our continued commitment to our fan-based services’’.
Martin Connolly, chief operating officer, Dundalk FC, said: “The wait is nearly over and we can’t wait to see all of our fantastic fans on Friday evening. Season ticket sales have been strong and we are confident of a sellout for our first game against Derry City. The Future Ticketing platform has been a great asset and we are delighted to be partnered again with Liam and his team for 2022”.
Those sentiments were echoed by Ethan Lee, communications director with Finn Harps and Denis Donohoe, CEO, Shamrock Rovers.
Mr Lee said: “We cannot wait to get going at this stage. Ollie Horgan has worked his magic once again to assemble an exciting squad that will undoubtedly wrestle the challenges ahead with determination. We are seeing strong ticket sales online for our opening game against Drogheda and season tickets are going very well, in particular, the primary schools tickets which have been a huge hit at just €5 for the season.”
Shamrock Rovers chief Mr Donohoe said: “We are on target to achieve a record number of season tickets sales as we look forward to welcoming back all Hoops fans.
