GARDAI were this evening at the scene of a crash involving two cars in Tullamore.
The collision occurred at the crossroads of the Arden Road and Collins Lane close to the traffic lights at Scally's Centra.
The vehicles which collided were a Ford Focus and a Volkswagen Passat and a number of gardaí were at the scene interviewing witnesses and directing other traffic at what is always a busy junction (see picture below).
Shortly after 8pm a recovery truck arrived to remove the cars.
