Edenderry Chamber to mark 'outstanding year' at AGM

Edenderry Chamber of Commerce are getting set to mark "an outstanding year" at their first AGM this week.

This Thursday, May 16, is the first Annual General Meeting for the Edenderry and District Chamber of

Speaking with the Chamber of Commerce Chairperson, Christine Traynor said: “There have been a lot of very memorable
moments and highlights particularly the Harbour Festival – bringing the boats back to Edenderry Harbour after a long absence and of course, Breakfast with Bobby Kerr.”

"And there is a a lot of work always going on in the background; meeting with investors and seeking out new opportunities for Edenderry, and a lot of the foundation stones being laid will bring prosperity to the town in the future,” continued Christine who is standing for Fianna Fail in the upcoming local elections in Edenderry.

"We need to keep our foot on the gas, we need to continue the good work and the committee are 100% committed,” said Christine.

“I have no doubt that positive change is in the offing, Edenderry is on the way back and this is a community working together to do the very best they can for their town."

“New members are welcome to join the chamber at the AGM on Thursday in Byrnes Lounge, JKL Street at 8.30pm and hear all about the Chamber’s Work and how we can work together to ensure a strong chamber going into the future," concluded Christine.
