Ireland weather forecast for the coming week from Met Eireann
The weather forecast for the week for Ireland from Met Eireann is for temperatures to stay above normal for the early part of the week however there is wetter weather on the way with temperatures set to fall back and the possibility of heavy thundery showers.
The weather forecast for Bank Holiday Monday according to Met Eireann is for another warm and dry day with good sunny spells, however, some mist may linger near southeast, south and southwest coasts. Towards evening there is the risk of an isolated shower in the south and east. Top temperatures will reach 18 to 21 degress but slightly cooler along south and southwest coasts with top temperatures of 16 or 17 degrees. Southeasterly winds will be moderate southeasterly and occasionally fresh.
Monday night will be dry apart from a few scattered outbreaks of rain. Lowest temperatures of 8 to 10 degrees in light southeast breezes.

According to be Met Eireann, there will be isolated showers on Tuesday with some sunny spells. It will continue warm with top temperatures of 17 to 21 degrees in light to moderate southeast to easterly breezes. Tuesday night will be warm, humid and misty night follows on Tuesday night with showery outbreaks of rain moving up over the country from the southeast. Minima of 8 to 11 degrees in mainly light east to southeast breezes.
The weather forecast for Wednesday according to Met Eireann is for a damp or wet start to the day with showery outbreaks of rain over much of the country, as a cold front moves up from the south through the course of the day followed by scattered showers. It will, however, be mainly dry at first in the north. There is the potential for some heavy and thundery showers to develop later in the afternoon and evening. Highest temperatures of 13 to 17 degrees, locally up to 18 or 19 degrees in north Ulster, will occur early on in the day, with temperatures turning progressively cooler through the afternoon, dropping back to between 9 and 12 degrees Celsius. Winds light to moderate east to southeast, will be fresh and gusty near the southwest coast. Further showers will occur on Wednesday night, some of them heavy and possibly thundery. Lows of 6 to 9 degrees Celsius in light to moderate east to southeast winds, which will be fresh to strong along the south coast.
According to the latest Met Eireann weather forecast, on Thursday there will be showers or longer spells of rain with some heavy and thundery falls. Variable cloud amounts with sunny spells. Maximum temperatures closer to the seasonal average at 11 to 15 degrees in moderate to fresh and gusty southeasterly winds, which will be occasionally strong near the south coast.
Met Eireann says that low pressure will continue to dominate the weather through Friday and the weekend, with wet and windy weather at times, but some drier and brighter interludes too. Maximum temperatures trending near to slightly below average for the time of year with maximum temperatures ranging from around 9 to 13 degrees.
