The weather forecast for the weekend from Met Eireann is for the weather to be mainly dry, with rainfall amounts below normal. Temperatures will be back to normal or a little above by day, but remaining cool at night.

The weather forecast for Friday from Met Eireann is for rain to affect east Leinster this morning and it will spread over much of Ulster by early afternoon. Highest temperatures 8 to 11 degrees with moderate easterly winds.

This evening, rain will develop in the southeast and will spread westwards over much of the country early tonight. It will clear southwards from most areas overnight, but will continue in Munster. Lowest temperatures of 2 to 5 degrees.

The weather forecast from Met Eireann for Saturday is for it to be a bright, dry day in most areas with sunny spells. It will be cloudier in south and west Munster with some rain or drizzle at times. Highest temperatures of 10 to 14 degrees with moderate easterly breezes.

Cold overnight on Saturday night, with clear spells and with some frost in rural areas. Lowest temperatures zero to 3 degrees, in light variable or easterly breezes.

The weather forecast from Met Eireann for Sunday is for it to be mainly dry and bright, with partly cloudy skies and with sunny spells in most places. Top temperatures of 11 or 12 degrees in eastern coastal counties, but 13 to 15 degrees, elsewhere, in a moderate easterly breeze. Cool overnight with occasional clear spells. Some rain or showers developing in eastern coastal counties. Lowest temperatures 3 to 6 degrees.
