Offaly café named after Barack Obama up for sale
A café named in honour of former US president Barack Obama is up for sale or immediate let in Offaly.
Located in Moneygall, the ancestral home of Obama, the property comes with two adjoining shop units for sale or rental. The lot is for sale for €150,000 or to let for €100 per week.
The man himself may even be tempted into a purchase after a tweet last week proved he hasn't forgotten the Faithful county following his 2011 visit.
He referenced the visit, saying he will always be grateful for the warmth and generosity of the Irish people. Could he be providing the warm welcome himself behind the counter at the Obama café?
In 2011, I visited the tiny town of Moneygall and got to walk around in the house where my great-great-great grandfather Falmouth Kearney lived his early life. I'll always be grateful for the warmth and generosity of the Irish people. Happy St. Patrick's Day! -Barack O’Bama pic.twitter.com/abDtarFbR5— Barack Obama (@BarackObama) March 17, 2019
