Permission sought to demolish apartment building in Tullamore to make way for townhouses

An application has been lodged with Offaly County Council to demolish an apartment building to make way for the construction of new townhouses in Tullamore.

Kraymount Properties has sought permission to demolish an existing two-storey building on Church Street in Tullamore to allow for the construction of the new dwellings.

The sight is located beside the Tullamore river and adjacent to Kelly's Toymaster.

The plan is to construct eight, one bedroom, three storey, terraced townhouses. The provision of car parking spaces is also part of the plans.

A decision on the application is due by April 7.
