Offaly town unveils brand new life-saving defibrillator

Offaly TD Marcella Corcoran Kennedy attended the ceremony in her hometown

Monday evening last, February 25, Aidan Walsh Allcare Pharmacy officially launched a new life-saving defibrillator at their building in Ferbane. 

Marcella Corcoran Kennedy TD was in attendance in her hometown to unveil the community defibrillator donated and maintained by Aidan Walsh Allcare Pharmacy.

"This is a great achievement for the community as it may be needed one day to save a life," Aidan Walsh said.

Training/meetings to become a first responder are being provided at the moment and if you would like to be a first responder, keep up to date with the Ferbane Community First Responder Group. 

They host regular meetings and share vital training information.

There is a meeting on Wednesday at 8pm in the Heritage Centre, Ferbane, and everyone is welcome.

The defibrillator is located on the wall outside Aidan Walsh Allcare Pharmacy.
