The old Kilroys store which is going under the hammer

A landmark building in Tullamore is going under the hammer at an online auction in April.

Formerly the electrical department of Kilroy's, the building on High Street has a guide price of €280,000.

Described as 'a substantial retail building', it comprises ground floor and first floor retail units with ancillary accommodation at basement level. The property extends to approximately 503 sq. m (5,413 sq. ft).

It is in a prime location in the centre of the town and for many of a certain age, it will be synonymous with a time when televisions were mainly rented and Kilroys was the place to go in Tullamore.
