Funeral details have been announced for the Offaly man who died tragically during Storm Callum in England.

The weather is understood to have been a factor in the death of Killurin native David Dooley in Brighton. Sussex Police received a report of a man in the sea near West Street, Brighton, at 1.21am on Saturday, October 13.

Coastguard, police and the South East Coast Ambulance Service attended the scene. 38-year-old David was retrieved from the water but was pronounced dead at the scene, Sussex Police confirmed.

A Mass for David will take place in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Acton High Street, Acton, London, on Monday, October 29 at 6.30pm. Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday, October 31 in St. Patrick's Church, Killeigh at 12 noon. Burial after Mass in the local cemetery.
