Tullamore man Will Minnock, known by his stage name of Tenderhook., will be releasing his newest single, “Season of You,” on Wednesday, October 10.
The track pairs sad lyrics with energetic house beats and an EDM sound palette. “Season of You” is an explosive follow up to Tenderhook. & Aisling Kearns debut single, “See You Go” back in April.
“The lyrics for this song came about after a holiday romance came to its inevitable, abrupt conclusion,” Will says.
“I was reminded of that feeling you get when you binge-watch a show, and you’re completely immersed in that world; before you know it you’ve reached the end, but you’re not quite ready to face back into reality just yet.”
He adds, “Musically, I wanted the song to be a mixture of what I was hearing during that holiday, which was a lot of groove-laden house music and high-energy club anthems.”
“Season of You” will be available on October 10 on all digital streaming platforms. Pre-Save on Spotify.
Will has been playing in bands and writing music from an early age. While studying songwriting at the British and Irish Modern Music (BIMM) Institute in Dublin, Ireland, he became inspired by acts such as Swedish House Mafia, Avicii, and Calvin Harris - pioneers of electronic dance music.
He practised his craft in the years following his graduation, honing in a unique sound partially inspired by the success of other local artists in his hometown of Tullamore.
Tenderhook. is Will’s first official project, which blends several genres to give his music a unique, warm feel.
