REVEALED: All the Offaly results from the 2018 Tidy Towns Competition

The cleanest places in Offaly have been revealed in the 2018 results of the SuperValu Tidy Towns Competition.

Competing in Category B, Geashill picked up 332 points, just six behind Glaslough in Monaghan, the winner of the Tidiest Village portion of the competition.

Listowel in Kerry came out on top as the overall winner of the competition nationwide, scooping a specially commissioned trophy and a prize fund of €10,000.

Geashill's score was followed in the Offaly stakes by Tullamore competing in the population Category F. The county town scored an impressive 327 points. 

Of the county's other big towns, Edenderry received 287 points in Category E, while Clara and Birr received 242 and 313 points in Category D. 

Of the other strong performers in Offaly, Clonbullogue village scored 326 points in Category B; Ballycumber received 310 in the same grouping; while Cadamstown netted 304 points in Category A.
