The hot and sunny weather looks set to last at least until the end of the weekend according to the latest forecast from Met Eireann.
Ireland has been basking in near record temperatures this week and there looks to be plenty more on the way.
Temperatures this afternoon (Thursday) could reach over 30 degrees in places while it will be close tonight with lowest temperatures of 13 to 16 degrees.
Another hot, sunny day for Friday, with temperatures generally 24 to 28 degrees but over 30 in places. In coastal areas, onshore breezes will moderate the heat to some extent, making it more bearable for some.
Another clear night on Friday night and similar overnight lows of 13 to 15 degrees. Winds are expected to remain light and variable overnight, becoming southwest by morning.
According to Met Eireann, Saturday will be a dry and mostly sunny day with temperatures once again as high as 30 degrees across the midwest and west. Maxima will typically range from mid to the high 20s, with onshore breezes in the east keeping temperatures a little lower here.
Temperatures generally ranging from the low to the high 20s on Sunday, though possibly a little cooler in the northwest. Warm spells of hazy sunshine in light easterlies, with the chance of some heavy showers feeding up from the south later in the day.
