End of an era as Offaly jewellery shop to close after 24 years

An era that has lasted for 24 years will come to an end on Saturday, June 30 as one of the longest standing shops in Tullamore will close its doors for the final time.

J&M Jewellers on William Street has been a fixture in Tullamore for 24 years but it will cease trading on June 30.

A sign in the window, signed by owner Johnny Flaherty, thanks all the shops loyal customers for their support for nearly quarter of a century.

J&M Jewellers is the second landmark business to close on William Street this year. McKeon's shoe shop closed in February having provided more than 30 years of service to the people of Tullamore
