Emergency services have attended the scene of a single vehicle accident on the Edenderry to Ballybryan road this Saturday evening, May 19.
Fire Services, gardai and ambulance crews rushed to the scene shortly before 7pm after receiving reports of the crash.
It's understood an elderly woman, who was the driver and sole occupant of the car, sustained minor injuries to her arm when her vehicle left the road near Ballybryan school.
The car turned over on its roof during the incident but no other vehicles were involved.
The road was closed for a short time as emergency services attended the woman but a source said the scene has now "been dealt with."
The woman involved has been brought to Tullamore Hospital as a precaution.
