BREAKING: HSE's Escalation Policy put in place at Tullamore Hospital

The Midlands Regional Hospital in Tullamore was the second most overcrowded in the country today according to the INMO

The Midland Regional Hospital Tullamore has experienced high levels of attendances with many patients requiring admission today (May 15).

As a result, the HSE’s Escalation Policy remains activated at the hospital. According to the INMO, Tullamore Hospital was one of the most overcrowded in the country today.

In order to assist, the hospital is requesting that patients in the first instance, consider using their GP out of hours for medical assessment, where possible.

The Hospital says it regrets that any patient should experience delays in accessing In patient beds.
