Figures in the Annual Financial Statement for Offaly County Council for 2017 show that €283,069 was spent on Printing and Stationery by the local authority in 2017. 

When broken down further, that figure equates to €140.97 per office hour* or €1,127.76 per working day.

In total, Administration Expenses for Offaly County Council came in at €2,111,907 which is made up of the following.

Communications Expenses - €265,538; Training - €286,062; Printing and Stationery - €283,069; Contributions to Other Bodies - €599,576; Other - €677,663

Administration Expenses increased by more €238,000 in 2017 compared to 2016 although Printing and Stationery costs fell by almost €50,000 year on year.

* The overall figure for Printing and Stationery in the Annual Financial Statement for Offaly County Council for 2017 was €283,069. Allowing for weekends and Bank Holidays and not allowing for extreme weather events, there were roughly 251 working days and at eight hours per day in 2017. That comes to a total of 2008 office hours. When that is divided by €283,069, it equates to €140.97 per working hour.
