A primary school worker is facing charges relating to eight drugs offences after being arrested as part of a Garda crackdown on the sale and supply of controlled substances in Offaly, according to a Garda source.
The Offaly Express understands that the woman was an SNA in a primary school within the county when was arrested during Operation Menlo, which was undertaken to tackle drug dealing in Offaly. We understand she has since left her employment.
She is facing charges for eight drugs offences and will appear before Tullamore District Court on April 11 along with 13 others arrested during the operation.
Last month, gardaí announced that the 14 individuals, 3 women and 11 men, were arrested and charged following the Garda sting. The arrests at the time were made by gardaí in Tullamore and Birr.
