Monday Update: This is what the Offaly roads are like right now

Some routes remain impassable

Offaly County Council have provided us with an update on the condition of the county's roads this afternoon.

All priority 1, 2 and 3 routes as listed below are clear. Priority today has been on local routes to isolated areas in the County.

Local roads which have not been ploughed may have significant snow drifts and extreme care is advised. OCC crews will continue to work on local routes throughout the day. Area staff are responding to local issues as required.

Tullamore Municipal District

Tullamore Town Roads Clear, clean up operations will continue.

The Whitehall Bridge is now open.

Edenderry Town

Roads Clear, significant clean up operation and clearing of footpaths carried out on Sunday continuing today. Accesses to school were also cleared on Sunday. The Graveyard has been cleared Monday morning.

R401 Clonbullogue to Edenderry Clear, however in places it is only cleared for a single lane of traffic, required further clearance to improve safety fo traffic meeting; particularly in vicinity of Power Station. Works on-going today
