Offaly man finally recovers his car five days after it left the road during Storm Emma
Thankfully he was uninjured and was able to 'have the craic' over the weekend in an igloo

An Offaly man whose car left the road between Cloghan and Ferbane as Storm Emma battered the country last Wednesday has finally retrieved his vehicle.
Alan Walsh, former Editor of the Offaly Express and now Editor of the Longford Leader, posted this on Twitter last week which showed that, thankfully, he was uninjured after this off road adventure.

Relieved and very thankful to be able to tell the tale following a journey that ended prematurely!!! And having the craic in an igloo. pic.twitter.com/kE8JQqYmvR
Alan was finally able to retrieve the car on Sunday as it was not possible to get the car up the bank in the snow that fell from Wednesday through Saturday.
