2,600 households are experiencing a power cut this Friday morning after the arrival of Storm Emma overnight.
The largest fault occurred close to the Boyne Bridge and is affecting around 2,550 customers right across the town.
The second fault has resulted in 55 homes in the St. Mary's Road/Killane Cross area of the town.
The ESB has told us that crews are out and about across the country but that repair efforts are being hampered by road conditions and blizzard like weather.
The ESB apologised for the inconvenience caused by the Edenderry outage and the current estimated restoration time is 8pm on Friday. Repairs may well take place before that time.
