Motorists are warned to slow down on all routes in Offaly due to the possibility of compacted snow, ice and slush which can cause drivers to lose control.
The M7 has also been severely affected and slushy conditions have been reported from the Moneygall junction all the way to Portlaoise in both directions.
Met Éireann are forecasting that tonight will once again be cold, with temperatures dipping below freezing, leading to widespread frost.
