Fianna Fáil Spokesperson on Housing Barry Cowen TD has rejected suggestions made by Sinn Féin Deputies in the Dáil earlier today regarding the voting arrangements for the National Planning Framework.
Deputy Cowen said, “Earlier today it was suggested that Fianna Fáil had entered into an agreement with the Government to prevent a vote on the National Planning Framework."
"I want to make it clear that Fianna Fáil has entered into no such agreement with the Government," he stated.
“In fact, Fianna Fáil has put down a number of amendments in the Seanad to strengthen the role of the Oireachtas in overseeing the National Planning Framework," he added.
“It would be more in line for Sinn Féin Deputies to do some basic research rather than attempt to mislead the Dáil," Barry concluded.
