Gardai investigating after boy (13) assaulted in Edenderry

Gardaí in Edenderry are investigating an allegation of assault in the town last week.

The alleged incident occurred at approximately 4pm on Monday, January 22 at St Marys Road, Edenderry.

A 13 year old male youth was assaulted at the above location.

It is understood that a number of other youths were involved in the incident. 

No serious injuries were sustained.

St. Mary's Road is a busy location for school traffic, bus stops and children at that time of the day in Edenderry. 

A garda source has told the Offaly Express that no arrests have been made but that investigations are continuing.
