McDonald's apply for extension planning in Tullamore

Fast food giant McDonald's has applied to Offaly County Council for planning permission for a small extension at their Tullamore restaurant.

The plans, lodged this week, seek permission for an extension to the restaurant's entrance area, including modifications to the stall risers, and glazing along the north and south-facing facades.

The alterations would also include cladding over the existing roof with composite aluminium panels. These works would result in a small height increase.

Offaly County Council is due to make a decision on the application in March of this year.
