127 houses get planning go ahead in Offaly

The development also includes a creche

Offaly County Council has granted conditional approval to a housing development on the Arden Road in Tullamore.

Codd Property Holdings Ltd had applied to build over 200 homes at the Eiscir Meadows/Norbury Woods development, but the council has only given permission for 127 houses.

The homes will be a mixture of two-bedroom terraces, three-bedroom terraces, semi-detached and detached properties. The green light also includes provision for a creche at the site.

Each dwelling will include an option for a solar panel on the rear roof slope as well as the option to convert the attic space into an additional bedroom.

Car parking provision, landscaping and access routes are also included in the approved plans. The full extent of the conditions attached to this decision is not yet known.
