Snow continuing to fall across Offaly

Snow is continuing to fall across Offaly this morning and it will continue throughout the afternoon. 

Met Eireann is warning of further falls of snow which will move slowly southwards later this afternoon and this evening.

Clearer weather will follow with frost following from the north. This evening, temperatures will drop to zero or below with frost and ice forming quickly.

It will be a mostly clear tonight however Met Eireann is forecasting severe frost, ice and lying snow leading to very hazardous conditions on roads and footpaths.

Lowest temperatures of -2 to -8 degrees and it will be coldest in the midlands.
