Emergency services attend fire inside Offaly shopping centre

Emergency services are attending the scene of a fire inside the busy Bridge Shopping Centre in Tullamore. 

Reports of smoke in the building shortly before 5pm sparked panic but it's understood fire crews and gardai have cleared the building. 

It's unclear at this time what caused the fire but numerous fire crews remain on the scene. 

Ambulance crews are also at the scene.
