€805,000 in funding secured for six new social homes in Offaly

Minister for Housing, Planning and Local Government Eoghan Murphy TD has indicated that the Housing Department has approved €805,000 to Offaly County Council to purchase 6 new 3 bedroom Social Homes in Cluain Na Spideoga, Cloghan under the Local Authority Housing Acquisitions Programme.
This programme is part of the government's Rebuilding Ireland programme.
Offaly TD for Fine Gael, Marcella Corcoran Kennedy has welcomed the news this evening.
"Once again this acquisition demonstrates Fine Gael's commitment to the delivery of social housing in County Offaly and will provide much needed comfortable homes for 6 families in the county," she said.
The Government has committed to investing €5.35 billion to deliver 47,000 social homes by end 2021.
