Met Éireann has issued a status yellow rainfall warning for Offaly ahead of the weekend.
The weather forecaster slapped the warning on Offaly, as well as Limerick and Tipperary on Friday morning.
Rainfall totals of 30 to 40mm expected between Friday evening and Saturday.
The warning comes into effect at 6pm on Friday evening and remains in place until 6pm on Saturday as the county is set to experience a deluge.
Localised flooding is a possibility and caution is advised for people using the roads during the warning period and even after it has run its course.
