Further to a similar incident in Edenderry, gardaí are seeking information from an attempted break-in at Ballycrystal in Geashill on Friday last, November 3.

During that incident, a group of intruders were disturbed by residents as they attempted to gain entry to a house. They had broken a window before they were disrupted and fled.

Separately, a group of burglars were disturbed by home owners at a property in Rhode on Sunday, November 5. At approximately 6.20pm on that evening, the homeowners  discovered the raiders inside their home at Clonmeen.

It was reported to gardaí that this group made their getaway in a blue Audi A4 and headed in the Rhode village direction.
