Tree comes down at Barney Bridge near Clara

The Offaly Express has been informed that a tree has fallen at Barney Bridge in Co. Offaly.

The tree fell due to winds from Hurricane Ophelia and the incident occurred on the Clara side.

The road there between Ferbane and Clara is now completely blocked. 

Motorists are being advised to stay indoors and refrain from making non-essential journeys.
