Portarlington Library enjoyed a splendiferous day on Tuesday, September 13, when the library hosted a number of events to celebrate the 100th birthday of magical storyteller, Roald Dahl.
Throughout the day the library had activities for school visits and also plenty going on for the public in general.
Children got to make fantastic origami foxes, post their dreams into the dream jar, find their way through snozzcumber mazes, battle their wits against a devilishly difficult Dahl quiz and have their faces painted as such Dahl characters as Oompa Loompas, Fantastic Mr Fox or the Enormous Crocodile.
Library staff really got into the spirit of things by dressing up as Dahl characters and a great day was had by all, with everyone who took part truly the recipient of a golden ticket of childhood fun.
