Prosecution at Tullamore District Court
A MAN appeared in court accused of threatening to damage another man's vehicle and home.
Gary Hyland (23), Bridge Street, Kilcormac, is alleged to have made the threats to Tony Buckley at Doolan's filling station in Kilcormac on January 15 last.
Sergeant Richard Thornton told Tullamore District Court the DPP had directed that the matter could be disposed of summarily and Mr Hyland's solicitor, Patrick Martin, said he may require further disclosure of evidence.
Mr Martin also applied for legal aid for the accused, saying he was not working.
Judge Andrew Cody remanded Mr Hyland on continuing bail to appear in court again on March 18 next when either a plea will be entered or a date will be fixed for a hearing.
