AI expert Michel McCann will host an open AI session in Tullamore

TULLAMORE Toasmasters are thrilled to announce that Michael McCann – Principal Consultant, Agentic AI Ambassador, and seasoned IT professional with deep expertise in AI strategy and transformation – will be the featured speaker at Tullamore Toastmasters’ upcoming open meeting.

Michael brings a wealth of experience that bridges technical innovation and real-world application. With a background spanning industries from investment banking to energy, and prior leadership roles at IQVIA leading large-scale cloud transformation programs, he combines deep technological knowledge with a passion for making complex concepts accessible. A former Non-Commissioned Officer in the Reserve Defense Forces, he understands the value of discipline, communication, and human leadership – values at the heart of Toastmasters.

Described as a "closet geek" with a drive to stay at the forefront of innovation, Michael hosts regular AI strategy roundtables and is committed to exploring how technology can enhance, rather than replace, human skills.

This special 45-minute session is designed to be practical, interactive, and forward-looking, with something for everyone:

Michael will start with a plain-language overview of AI and tools like ChatGPT, highlighting use cases for communicators and leaders – from speech preparation to project planning. A live demo of a Toastmasters Meeting Assistant will show how AI can help create agendas, generate Table Topics questions, and guide feedback, with a focus on responsible use.
