Gardaí have issued an appeal after a woman in the Midlands woke up to see an intruder in her bedroom.
Portlaoise Gardaí are appealing for information in relation to the incident which occurred at a property at Craydon Court in Portlaoise at around 2am.
“The injured party woke up and witnessed a male exiting her bedroom window,” a Garda spokesperson said.
They said sleeping tablets were stolen from the house during the burglary.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have information or who may have witnessed anything suspicious in the area between 2am and 2.30am on the morning of Wednesday, January 21 to contact Portlaoise Garda Station on 057 867 4100.
